Frequently Asked Questions
Nanovesicles are isolated and concentrated through serial rounds of centrifugation and ultracentrifugation in a sterile condition.
PDNVs are characterized by Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA) to analyze number and size, and the expression of TET8 (Tetraspanin-8).
PDNVs are stable and functional in cell culture assays for about a week. This may vary under specific experimental conditions.
All isolated ITbio-PDNVs™ fall within the size range typical of plant-derived extracellular vesicles. Mean size of vesicles varies accordingly with the fruits or vegetables under study.
Each vial contains 2×1010 ITbio-PDNVs™.
ITbio-PDNVs™ are characterized for TET8 expression.
The number of nanovesicles are measured through Nanoparticles Tracking Analysis (NTA – NS300 Malvern Panalytical).
ITbio-PDNVs™ Ready to use in liquid form are suspended in 1 ml of sterile H2O. ITbio-PDNVs™ are shipped at +2-8 °C and can be stored at +4°C for a short time. It is recommended to aliquot PDNVs in the desired volume and store asap at either -20°C (active for up to 6 months) or -80°C (active for up to 1 year).
It is recommended to reconstitute PDNVs in sterile H2O or PBS and aliquot in different vials accordingly with the costumers’ best use. Freeze at -20°C/-80°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
